In Saudi Arabia the Toyota Crown is the lifted executive saloon: the ground clearance and command seating position of a crossover with the quiet, ride and boot of a large sedan, hybrid only. We have 11 used Crowns listed across the Kingdom.
How much does a used Toyota Crown cost in Saudi Arabia?
Asking prices on our current Kingdom listings run from SAR 120000 for one of the first cars in the range up to SAR 154000 for a current-year one. A used Crown here lands about 15% below what the equivalent new one costs.
Which used Toyota Crown year should you buy?
There is only one generation, so buy on specification rather than year. The Crown nameplate returned for the 2023 model year as a raised saloon on Toyota's newer platform. The decision that matters is the drivetrain: the 2.5 hybrid is the efficient choice and the one most Kingdom buyers took, while the 2.4-litre turbocharged hybrid in the top grade is quicker and brings the larger wheels and better interior.
Is a used Toyota Crown reliable in Saudi Arabia?
Bodywork is where you see it: 11% of the Toyota Crowns we inspect in Saudi Arabia show evidence of prior body or panel repair, against the 26% we would expect for sedans of the same age and mileage in the Kingdom. For contrast, the same check comes back on 68% of the Hyundai Sonatas we inspect, against the 55% we would expect for sedans of its age and mileage here.
Toyota Crown or Toyota Camry?
The Toyota Camry costs much less, with a mechanical fault on 13% of the ones we inspect against the 18% we would expect for sedans of its age and mileage in the Kingdom. The Chrysler 300 gives you presence and rear-wheel drive for similar money, but electrical faults show on 18% of them against the 10% we would expect for sedans of the same age here.
What to inspect on a used Toyota Crown
Every used Toyota Crown we list in the Kingdom comes with its full CarSwitch inspection report. Read the body and paint section first — on a car this young, that is the one thing that separates two examples.
